Trumpeter Swans

Trumpeter Swans are one of my most favorite subjects to photograph. These birds are one of the most beautiful animals that I have ever seen. A photograph does not depict their beauty as seen by the human eye. Every year I am blessed by a visit from these beautiful birds for a couple of the winter months here on the farm in Arkansas. I am anxiously awaiting their return.

Colorado Photo Vacation

Had a wonderful trip to Colorado last week.  It was a photographers paradise.  Here is just a few images that were captured on my week long trip.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Bull Elk

The Aspens were in their prime with bold colors of gold and yellow.

Durango –  Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway.  Such an awesome train to watch and ride.

The Elk and Mule Deer were great to watch. This time of the year is the Elk rut and they are chasing females. It was wonder to hear them bugle.

I hope you enjoyed the photography and there will be more to come of my wonderful trip.

After The Rain

I Had to share this beautiful rosebud taken after the rain this weekend.  Here in Arkansas the temps have cooled down and we had a much-needed rainy weekend.  This beautiful pink rosebud caught my eye.  I love the way the camera catches the water droplets on the leaf and the way the water runs down the stem of the rose.
